1996 993 Cabriolet
The 993 was Porsche's 4th generation of the 911 and its best seller of the series. This particular model, the cabriolet, produces 272 hp with its variocam technology. This car is equipped with a Tiptronic S transmission that allows shifting on the floor or with paddles on the steering wheel. The new headlamps on the car were perhaps its most startling visual feature. Later, this "look" was seen again in 2005 for the Porsche 997 series and now the new 2012 991 model.
1972 RSR Gulf
1972 RSR tribute was built purposely for Rennsport Reunion IV. Painted in the Gulf Livery colors, this frameup sports 10" and 13" Goodyear racing tires on 917 Penta wheels. Roll cage, Recaro seats with 5 point harness as well as minimizing weight but retaining strength, makes this car very competitive in class performance. The car was shown at the Fairfield Concours d'Elegance and received accolades and a picture of her in the New York Times.
1983 911SC Cabriolet
It was 18 years from the last production cabriolet Porsche to this particular model, the 1983 911SC Cabriolet. With three metal arch supports and substantial refinements, this car was the fastest production cab in the world. Its 3.0 liter engine produced 188 hp mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. Beautiful lines coupled with a carrera tail and matching Fuch wheels, helped bring this car a Greenwich Concours Porsche award.
